High Speed Train from St Pancras to Ski Holiday

Leave London, for your ski chalet holiday 8pm Friday night, arrive at Moutiers 6am Saturday morning, refreshed after a nights sleep, ready for a quick taxi up the road, to an extra day or your ski chalet holiday on the mountain.

Taking the train to your ski chalet holiday rather than flying or driving has its advantages. Apparantly it will have a smaller impact on the environment. So you can spend more money on your ski holiday treats and less on reducing your carbon footprint.

Because you travel overnight, you gain an extra day on the mountain. Whilst everyone else is in transfer day hell, and the slopes are empty; except for the odd local who is lucky enough to not work changeover day. Unlike the flight companies, Eurostar do not charge you for taking your skis on the train. You have a flat bed to sleep in, and if you are just too excited to sleep, you can venture down to the sound proofed disco carriage, where you can party all night, buy a drink there, or BYO.

Just picture it now; it's Friday night, you've wined and dined at St Pancras, you're sitting on the train, enjoying a relaxing drink in the disco carriage, before settling down to a nights sleep, ready to awaken in a snow covered french station, for your extra days skiing or boarding on the mountain ... Bliss.
The four main ski areas connected to the UK by the Snow Train are Espace Killy, Paradiski, 3 Valleys, and Mont Blanc ski area. Resorts within these areas are Courchevel, Les Arcs, Val D'Isère, Meribel, Tignes, Val Thorens, Megève, Les Allions, Chamonix and Combloux. The train actually drops you at one of six station en France; Moutiers, Albertville, Chambéry, Aime la Plagne, Landry and Bourg St Maurice.

You can now leave the UK on the high speed train from St Pancras International in the heart of London, or from Ebbsfleet International in North Kent. Both of these have superb tube, road and rail links.

St Pancras is more than just a train station. It can kick start you holiday with a visit to Europe's longest champgne bar or the daily farmers market - now you don't get that at the airport! Get a sneak peak of St Pancras here. St Pancras International has been restored to house the 400-metre-long 186mph trains, but you can still see a glimpse it's early history in the gothic architecture, from when St Pancras was opened it 1868. St Pancras was officially opened by the Queen on 6th November 2007 however the trains will not run until 13th November.
